On Sunday, February 24th the Chi Delt Alumni Association held the Annual Byron J. Horn (86’) Alumni Panel. The panelists provided an opportunity for the chapter to hear about what life is like in the first five years after graduation. The 2019 panel was a huge success drawing a crowd of 40+ actives, pledges and young alumni to the Hill we all call home. The four panelists were high achievers in their respective fields:
1) Jake Thorn 14’- Law
2) Michael Marting 14’- Investment Banking
3) Dan Rooker 12’- Financial Planning
4) Daniel Glaser 13’- Commercial Real Estate
The panelists shared how to network effectively, how to lock down a first job, what it’s like being in the trenches and how to utilize the connections you have effectively. Building on this success, the panelists and a few other young alumni are forming a steering committee tasked with increasing levels of professional engagement between current actives and young alumni that work in their desired field. This hands-on approach will be another one of the many benefits included in living a life of excellence.
A huge thank you goes out to everyone that helped make this year’s panel a success! If you are interested in becoming a class representative for the Alumni Association or interested in participating in the Alumni Mentor Program please email us at: [email protected].
