Why did you join?
Kenyon recruitment contacts -RA Weaver friend of my mom, Bay Village Alumni Don Ross MD, clean cut jock/scholar attitude by on campus rush team. As a Midwesterner, it was my first exposure to long hair, unkempt grooming and manners. One of my “grant in aid” chores was table waiting in Pierce Hall. I was lucky to be assigned the Delt table.
Tell us about your favorite memory of the fraternity
Second semester my freshman year Famous “men of Kenyon rescue of Denison women” George Holthaus Delt active invited me to ride in the vanguard of a 30 car, 1 plane & 1 Harley entourage to Granville(via SR). Good news bad news scenario we got back alive via Newark to Mt.Vernon (had some beers in Foxes0, in time for second serving as waiters at Pierce. Bad news, I have never wanted to get on a motorcycle again!!!
What kind of influence has the fraternity had on your life since graduation?
“Life Long”
With whom do you still stay in contact? Who would you most like to find?
The Chi Pledge Class of 1948 has maintained contact through good and bad. Regular joint vacation & college return travel. With Jeff Moritz offer to utilize my life long services to the college and the fraternity, I hope Chi Delts assigned to the 80-2006 era will respond to the testimony we seek to fully describe the Delt national “search for excellence” pledge!

“Where The Boys Are” Spring break 52, 4 Delts Glaser, Miller, Evans, Ranney (36Ford) arrived in Ft. Lauderdale, met a young beach bunny, married her in 1954, Delts in wedding party Bell-50-Hayden-53-children Keith SMU-Judith-Emory-Michael-Heidelberg – 5 grandchildren (3 boys, 2 girls) Recent celebration 2/3 of my life with the same beach bunny or 50th anniversary in Maui 6/26/04
What other activities or organizations were you involved with during your college days?
Assembly & Chapel Credit monitor Senior Society Chapter Social activities Sports Football 4 years, Captain elect of 50 Undefeated team-Lacrosse briefly senior year, no noticeable talent in running, scooping or aiming small white ball in smaller web sling. Fraternity basketball B team (not allowed to use forearm shiver). Super contributor to frat beer softball team. At short could cover keg at second quickly!!

T-Barracks Ames Middle Leonard– Hurd (Mr. Tidy) first floor path side, Canon (his nose matched mine) 2ed floor pool side, Craig (he stole my argyle socks) 2ed path side, Fraley (got free laundry service from his mom) 3rd floor pool, last semester room alone prestige quarters pool side basement entrance (noise inside bed springs – outside traffic banging on door from jealous brothers)
What do you do for a living?
Never retire – never be politically correct, never stop enjoying life, what have I done with my Kenyon History AB degree– Industry (steel) Management Sales Training & service (1954-58), Shipping Containers Equity Ownership(1959-67)Steel Fabrication (1967-1980)Management Consulting (1980-95) Part time assignments (1995-2002) Current employer, see my employment this web site.
What hobbies do you enjoy?

what are your goals for the next few years?
At age 75 goals are easy to define! Stay physically healthy, stay cerebrally active & enjoy each day of life.
