Jeff Walker ’74

Jeff Walker is a well known industry veteran who brings over 30 years of international sales and marketing experience, working with both cable operators and traditional service providers, to his role as Vice President of Marketing for Cedar Point. Jeff has worldwide responsibility for leading the product marketing, product management, corporate communications and customer facing application engineering teams.
 
Prior to joining Cedar Point Jeff was Senior Director of Marketing within Motorola Inc’s Connected Home Solutions Group where he was responsible for marketing and business development for the Access Networks business unit. Jeff joined Motorola through their acquisition of RiverDelta Networks where he served as Vice President of Marketing.
 
At RiverDelta, Jeff oversaw the launch of the company’s flagship Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) product and was instrumental in securing industry leadership for that product.  Before Jeff joined RiverDelta, he had spent 15 years in key marketing positions throughout Motorola. As  Director of Marketing and Business Development for Cable Data Products, Jeff led all worldwide marketing efforts for Motorola’s cable modem and cable data infrastructure equipment business. Previously, he was the Marketing Director for Motorola’s Multimedia Periphery Router Group and led marketing for Motorola’s Information Systems organization in Tokyo.
 
Prior to Motorola, Jeff spent 9 years at McGraw-Hill – Data Resources Inc. where he managed a team of consultants forecasting economic, market, and technology trends for high technology companies.
 
Jeff holds a BA in Economics from Kenyon College and an MBA in Finance and Quantitative Economics from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
